  • Gentle Hatha (Levels Intro-1) - Join us for this gentle class that eases you into yoga at your own pace.  We focus on individually adapting every pose to suit each participant's needs.  It is great for recovering from injury or surgery, for seniors, for those dealing with illness, or for anyone who wants a slower class with more attention. Compassion is our guiding principle as we try to open and engage range of motion, flexibility, and strength. We also work to develop inner peacefulness and acceptance of ourselves, as we are now -- already fully complete. Please contact Jenna (jenna@livingyogacenter.net) or Hayli (hayli@livingyogacenter.net) ahead of time if getting up and down to the floor is a serious challenge so that they may plan the class with appropriate alternatives and modifications.

Prana Vinyasa - This is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana - the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya's teachings of Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, and Somatics.

Flow (Levels 1-3) - A stimulating and creative practice that focuses on integrating strength, flexibility, alignment, and awareness through a dynamic sequence of asanas linked by the breath.

Advanced Flow (Levels 2-3) – This class is intended for those practitioners who want to explore more advanced asanas and pranayama techniques. Attendees should have a strong practice and feel comfortable with the foundational inversions and arm balances, such as shoulderstands & crow pose. Any questions as to whether this class is appropriate for you, please email Deb at deb@livingyogacenter.net.

Monthly Restorative (All levels) - Restorative yoga helps to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system and is responsible for balancing the body and bringing its response system back into equilibrium. It also helps to lower heart rate and blood pressure, stimulate the immune system, and keep the endocrine system operating efficiently and is beneficial for overall body health. We will be holding each pose for up to 10 minutes with the support of various props, such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, sandbags, and straps. Dates for this class will be posted on the website and at the studio.

Prenatal (All levels) - Experience how yoga can support you during your pregnancy with simple and effective exercises specifically geared to the needs of a changing body. Increase energy and stamina, build strength and flexibility, and improve focus and concentration to assist in labor and delivery through this gentle yet empowering practice. The class is 1.25 hours and will be followed by a 15 minute free open discussion period with Tami, the class instructor and doula, where she will talk in more depth on how to prepare for childbirth and will answer any questions you might have about your labor and delivery.
